THE BOOK OF LEVITICUS.The Atonement.

THE ATONEMENT.

I Decided that l would do a personal study on the Atonment by comparing Leviticus with the book of Hebrews, without any help from a commentary, and allow the Holy Spirit to bring revelation instead.

I was amazed and elated, to see clearly, the deeper meaning of the Atonement.
Elated, because I discovered that all my sin had been forgiven and to be remembered no more. This truly means ..

PAST- PRESENT- and – FUTURE SINS.

All because God loved me and sent His Son to pay the price for all my sin by shedding His Precious Blood on the cross of Calvary.

So many Christians are living in guilt, deep shame and fear of punishment, due to a lack of understanding of what the Atonement truly means.

So let’s have a closer look at the Atonement and maybe you can find freedom from condemnation.

In Leviticus 16:15. The Priest after his own cleansing, chose two goats as part of the ceremony. The first goat he slaughtered as a sin offering for the people.
Leviticus 16:15.

He then sprinkled the goat’s blood on the Altar (mercy seat) to cleanse it and make it holy.

Then he turned toward the live goat, and he laid both of his hands upon the goat’s head and confessed over it the sins of the people, such as .. uncleanness .. rebellion .. and all wickedness.

This transferred all their sins onto the head of the goat.

Then a man, specifically chosen for the task, would drive the goat into the wilderness of desolation never to return again. The slain goat was a substitute for the sins of the people, it took their place of punishment.

The other goat, was called the “Scape-goat” who had all of the sins of the people laid on its head.

A WONDERFUL PICTURE OF THE WORK OF JESUS.

Both goats are a type of Jesus .. The first goat showed how the death of Christ satisfied the justice of God.

See Isaiah 53 : 10,11.

The second goat reveals how Christ bore all

the load of our guilt and sin.

(Everything the devil uses to accuse us)

Then He carried them away from us and when Jesus died, HE entered the wilderness of death, returning all the accusations back in the devil’s face!!

Amen!

Thankyou Jesus!!

Now you can enjoy God’s complete forgiveness and you never need to say, “l’m too great a sinner for God to Save me.”

No, you are not too great a sinner! Dont live under the heavy weight of guilt and shame.

“AS FAR IS THE EAST IS FROM THE WEST, SO FAR, HE HAS .. REMOVED OUR TRANSGRESSIONS FROM US.”

PSALM 1O3:12

Keep this in your mind ..

Under the old Covenant, the sins of the people, were “Covered” and that is why the Atonement was a ceremony held each year on the Sabbath.
The Atonement OF CHRIST did not just cover our sins..

“He took them away”!! Hebrews 10:4.
It was by the shedding of His Blood.

(Blood brought life, and not death!) That is The Atonement!
Glorious, .. AT- ONE – MENT! .. “AT ONE WITH GOD!”Through Christ.

The old Testament is a shadow of which Christ is the “reality” in the New Testament.
When the sinless God-Man gave his life, He opened the way to .. ”whosoever will”.. may come!

“THE LIFE IS IN THE BLOOD,
AND MUST FOR SIN ATONE ..
ONE : “SACRIFICE” AND ONCE FOR ALL!
THE BLOOD OF JESUS ALONE.
OH SEE THE GUILT OF SIN,
WHICH NEEDED SUCH A PRICE!
AND SEE THAT MARVEL, OF HIS LOVE,
WHO MADE THE SACRIFICE!”

THE GREAT HIGH PRIEST.
As the great high priest Jesus took His Blood and entered into the Heavenly Sanctuary, with the blood, and laid it on the Altar.

A Perfect Sacrifice!

But He has not yet come the second time for His people. Heb 9:24.

At that time Israel will be penitent people.
They will weep and say..

“THE HARVEST IS PAST, THE SUMMER HAS ENDED, AND WE ARE NOT SAVED.”

Then they shall look upon Jesus, whom they pierced .. and weep!!
Then in believing contrition ..

THEY SHALL BE SAVED!!

For you dear reader who need to be saved must realise that your time to repent of your sin is now! The way is open now for you to receive Him .

“NOW! IS THE ACCEPTABLE TIME, NOW! IS THE DAY OF SALVATION!”

AFTER HE ARRIVES, IT IS TOO LATE!!

Please pray this prayer of Salvation and then ..
You Shall be Saved.

“LORD JESUS,
I THANKYOU FOR SHEDDING YOUR PRECIOUS BLOOD FOR ME.

THANKYOU FOR PAYING THE PRICE FOR ALL MY SIN.

PLEASE FORGIVE MY SIN AND CLEANSE ME FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS ..

PLEASE FILL ME WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT TO EMPOWER ME TO BECOME CONFORMED TO YOUR TO YOUR IMAGE. Amen.

“GONE, GONE, GONE .. ALL MY SINS ARE

GONE !!”

Think about this .. When I talk about sin l’m not putting sin into categories, as some people do.. ie, ” Adultery is worse than telling a lie.”

In Christ, God dealt with the “Human

Sinful Nature” passed upon us from Adam.

So when you receive the Atonement of Christ, you receive His Nature and you become a new creature. (Creation)

The old is passed away and all things become new. That is how God sees us in Christ.

Yes the temptation to sin is still there, but when we do sin, we repent and confess them to God and because of the Atonement we are forgiven.. “But what if I die in an accident before I get to confess my last sin?”

This is why the Atonement is so exciting,

IT DEALS WITH EVERY SIN AS A WHOLE.

“OUR SIN TO BE REMEMBERED NO MORE”
